David Ellis
David Ellis is corporate President and CEO of Xcape Solutions, Inc. David has over
twelve years of experience in the global IT industry covering P&L management, business
development, operations, program management and strategic marketing.
Prior to founding Xcape Solutions, David worked in various system management roles
for industry leaders in the IT arena including Data Tech, IBM, Advantis, and AT&T.
David’s no-nonsense business approach and analytical skills generated a proposal
to AT&T that ultimately saved the company over $1 million dollars, thus launching
Xcape Solutions in 2004. Since its inception, Xcape Solutions has resolved a cornucopia
of technology issues for a vast array of businesses on an international scope, with
a firm commitment to staffing all services and programming with US-based personnel.
While attending the University of South Florida, David spent so much time in the
network lab he was offered a job overseeing computers and networks. By the time
he graduated, he was managing the entire network and later became Director of IT
support for USF College of Business. In addition to his Bachelor’s degree from the
University of South Florida, David holds a Masters Certificate in Project Management
from George Washington University.
David is also on the board of the National Educational Training Systems for juveniles
and he and his wife commit time and energy to various philanthropy and non-profit
organizations in the Tampa area.
Leslie Elaine Ellis, Ph.D.
Dr. Leslie Ellis is the Vice President of Human Resources and has proven repeatedly
throughout her career that establishing a positive environment that encourages free
flow of ideas is a winning formula providing superior customer satisfaction. The
atmosphere within a company is critical to business performance including the ability
to attract and keep top talent. This way of life within Xcape Solutions has resulted
in a reputation for “can do problem solving” and the supportive culture within our
team can be greatly attributed to Dr. Ellis’s extensive background in psychology
and human behavior.
Dr. Ellis’s long list of accolades including doctorates in Philosophy as well as
Clinical Psychology with a Masters in Rehabilitation Counciling. Dr. Ellis has authored
and directed several films books and she is the President of NETS, a clinical rehabilitation
resource for juvenile offenders. Dr. Ellis is a sought-after speaker for judicial
juvenile advocacy and other human behavior related clinics, associations and government
initiatives.
Dan Carabelas
As Director of Information Technology, Dan Carabelas brings a wealth of innovation
and over twenty years experience in Information Technology with specialties in Quality
Assurance, Network design, and Security. Dan’s tenacity in problem solving has earned
him a stellar reputation within the industry.
Dan’s passion for technology began
long before his career in military telecommunications. His determination and problem
solving skills have saved numerous customers millions of dollars in downtime and
support costs. He has worked for and with industry leaders such as IBM, AT&T, Nortel,
and Cisco. He has been involved in supporting such premier customers such as Coca-Cola,
Delta, Merrill Lynch, Dean Witter, International Hotels Group, and Disney. His experience
ranges from custom one-off development projects to global multi-national general
service deployments.
When Dan is not passionately problem-solving, he spends his
time with his three daughters and several pets.
